At Smake, we take great pride in our hand-crafted desserts and baked goods. Because our products are perishable and made to order, our refund and returns policy is designed to ensure food safety and quality.
Due to the nature of our products (cakes, pastries, and desserts), we do not accept returns. Perishable food items cannot be returned or resold once they have left our studio or been delivered to you.
Eligibility for Concerns: If there is a physical defect with your order or you received the wrong item, please contact us within 2 hours of delivery or pickup.
Refunds are only issued in specific circumstances, such as:
Order Not Fulfilled: If we are unable to complete your order due to unforeseen circumstances.
Damaged on Delivery: If your dessert arrives damaged due to our delivery partner’s handling (photographic proof required).
Once your claim is inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment, or issued as Smake Store Credit, within 5–7 business days.
Standard Orders: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup/delivery time to receive a full refund.
Custom Cakes/Large Events: Cancellations for custom orders require [X] days notice, as ingredients and decorations are prepared in advance.
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged at the time of handover. Since we deal in fresh food, we cannot exchange an item because of a “change of mind” regarding flavors or textures.
For orders delivered via our local partners, shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund for a damaged item, the original shipping cost will be excluded from the total.
